A quality team of Polynesian Professionals within the OOHC sector with a combined experience of over 18 years. Polynesian Ways was developed as we identified that there was a lack of education around Polynesian children and young people in care. Children and young people within care need connection to their culture. Polynesian ways do this through a number of services such as:
- Cultural plan packages
- Mentoring goal orientated
- cultural Camps and workshops
- casework support for working with Pacifica families
- support for families working with DCJ
We are a very passionate team, focused on keeping kids connected to language, values, food, clothing and activities.
We provide a range of services including, thorough cultural planning which includes the development of the cultural plan. Consultation services, with caseworkers and family members. Cultural mentoring with children and young people that is goal orientated.
